1. Who we are
Avanis AI ("we", "us", "our") operates this website (avanisai.com) and the StockLens platform. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
2. Data we collect
We collect data in three ways:
Forms. If you submit our contact form or newsletter signup, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage: pages visited, time on site, approximate location (derived from IP), device and browser type, and referral source. Google Analytics uses cookies (including _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish users across sessions. This data is pseudonymous and used in aggregate; we do not use it to identify you individually.
Session recording and heatmaps. We use Microsoft Clarity to record anonymized session behavior (mouse movement, clicks, and scroll depth) and generate aggregate heatmaps, so we can see how visitors actually use the site and improve it. Clarity masks sensitive input fields (such as passwords) by default and does not knowingly collect personal data typed into forms. See Microsoft's Privacy Statement for detail.
Error monitoring. We use Sentry to automatically capture JavaScript errors that occur in your browser while using this website, so we can identify and fix bugs. This may include technical diagnostic information such as the error message, browser and device type, and the page you were on. It is used solely to fix bugs, not to identify you.
Technical logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs standard web request data (IP address, timestamp, requested page) for security and reliability purposes, consistent with normal web server operation.
3. How we use your data
We use the data collected to: respond to enquiries submitted through the contact form; send the newsletter to those who subscribe; understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it; and maintain the security and reliability of the website. We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use your data for purposes beyond those stated here.
4. Third parties we share data with
Form submissions are processed through formsubmit.co, a third-party form-delivery service, which relays your submission to our inbox. Analytics data is processed by Google Analytics (Google LLC), subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Session recording and heatmap data is processed by Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation). This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. None of these providers are permitted to use your data for their own purposes beyond providing the service to us.
5. Cookies
This website uses cookies set by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to distinguish visitors and sessions. These are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. You can block or delete these cookies at any time through your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics entirely using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking cookies will not affect your ability to browse the website.
6. Data retention
Contact form and newsletter data is retained for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry or maintain your subscription, or until you request deletion. Google Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics account settings, currently set to Google's standard retention period.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict our processing of it, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email Avanis.AI@outlook.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
8. International data transfers
This website is operated from Hong Kong. Data collected through Google Analytics and other third-party services listed above may be processed on servers located outside Hong Kong, including in the United States, under those providers' own safeguards.
9. Children's privacy
This website is intended for business and professional audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
